‘Co-parenting’ is the term given to the situation where parents live apart but manage a cooperative parenting relationship following their separation.  This is not always easy, especially in the early days and weeks following their separation, but all the research shows that this is what’s best for children.

Cooperating with the other parent and making decisions together is hard but, unless there are safety reasons why it may not be appropriate, it’s what the law expects from all parents as that’s what’s best for children.
