Our intrepid Fabulous Feganettes from Thanet are passionate about supporting children and families holistically.
We hear so often in the media about the unacceptable waiting lists for mental health support and the impact on children and parents is often overwhelming. In support of Fegans, they wanted to raise money by doing a sponsored event and Gung–Ho seemed like a good idea… this is how eight lovely ladies and a couple of chaps found themselves signing up to this event.
This is what they said once they’d dried themselves off!
‘’Well we did it and survived! The weather was truly horrendous and we were soaked before we started … but God was with us as we set off, the rain stopped and the sun shone, until the last person crossed the finish line (me)!
We had many laughs along the route and everyone had great fun, our team spirit helped carry us through.
Our aim was to raise money for more children and families to have access to our services across Fegans . We really wanted to be pro-active in supporting our services which do such an incredible job. I am pleased to say that we have raised £685.75 so far which will go towards this, not a huge amount in relation to the needs, but it’s a start.
