A young boy is pushed along on a trolley by kitchen staff and vigorously fans the Christmas pudding as it is alight, much to the delight of the other children. After the meal the boys wash up.

Behind the scenes views of the laundry, sewing room, clothes and food storage area follow. The boys at leisure, read, play chess and make their beds in the dormitory.
